Default No Wii price cut for "foreseeable future"

Quote:
Despite console price cuts being the in thing at the moment (Sony's $599 or £349 PS3 and the Xbox 360 price drops), Nintendo says it expects to keep the Wii price-point unchanged for the "foreseeable future" since it is selling all of the units it makes.

That's because it's 200 dollars cheaper than it's competition, lol.

the wii isn't so cheap. if you buy like 2-3 wiimotes, you have paid just the same as a ps3 or 360. and the wii is a big multilayer machine, so you kind of need them, idk thats just my opinion.

As apposed to buying a 360 with a few remotes?

So, for the same price as a 360, you get WAY more playability....

Exactly, a wireless 360 controller still costs around $40, I even saw some at wal-mart for $45

Anyway the Wii has no reason to drop its prices....its already cheap and its still selling more than any other console, even though the 360 had a one year head start.

yep, it would be stupid for Nintendo to drop the price at the current time.

Nintendo admitted themselves that they can't even keep up with the demand. Why the hell would they drop the price.

Hell, they could raise the price by $10 a console and still not affect sales that much.

idk man, the 360 and ps3 seem to me as more of single player consoles, unless you go online. I see the wii in the family room with a needed 4 controllers and nunchucks, which makes it more expensive to me in that respect. plus a wiimote +nunchuck is more than a ps3 or 360 controller
