Historically there is always a fight between the consoles as to which one will come out the victor. SNES or Genesis? Saturn, N64, or PSX? Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, or Gamecube? And so on. It isn't that difficult of a concept.

those were my exact thoughts, what war and when? If anything, the Wii is winning or ALREADY won.

As long as 360 owners are happy with their purchase, PS3 owners are happy with their purchase, and Wii owners are happy with their purchase there will be no *victor*. This *war* is BS and should be kept to the end-of-year reports of each company (ie: financial profit, units sold etc).

I have owned both the next-gen consoles and loved both... I am glad that they both exist and cannot imagine a more flat, dull, tedious (console-gaming) world than one in which there was one console only.


I still love PC-gaming more than console-gaming as I have been non-console-gaming since my ZX80.

I'm an owner of both the wii and 360 and want the PS3 for sony's exclusives...I'm still hoping the Wii will win, because they didn't have a great run last generation with the lack of third party titles...Nintendo just have to get on their game and the sides of publishers

I actually want to buy a 360 again, but apparently a new revision is coming out soon.

One thing is for sure....there are FAR too many SKU's in this generation, the Wii notwithstanding.

Nothing in the article is bull, it's all true. You may disagree with his conclusions, but I'll challenge you to argue your position rather than just call his "bull" and toss in an animated emoticon.

Wait, let me backtrack...there is one "bull" statement in the article; specifically, how Sony continues to argue that they are going to win the console war in a 10-year life span. Nobody cares...most of us are not going to be playing the X360 or PS3 in 10 years. The people who will still be buying PS3's then are the people who are buying new PS2's now, i.e. not exactly the strong gamer type. It is quite probably that Sony will sell more PS3's in 10 years than Microsoft sells X360s, because Microsoft will have long moved on to the next gen by then if their history is any guide. Note to Sony: console cycles are not ten years no matter how many times you say it.
