I agree. I've had so much people telling me that X360 has much better games or Wii will provide the most fun, but all I want is to play MGS4, GT5, and SOCOM. Besides, I have my PC if I want X360-like games and a range of controllers.

Best part is that people argue which game looks better on which system, like Assassin's Creed. Non-exclusives usually come out on PC also so I'll take that.

Who cares, it's software/games that decides which console is better. It's all marketing, they find somewhat creditable people to make statements like these to change the minds of the simple minded into believing whatever they want you to believe.

It's no different from diet pill companies that look for celebrities to advertise for their product, they just want to get you to believe that it's true.

I just did understand why people get so upset over the console "war." It's just isn't something worth defending. I'll admit i'm a Nintendo fanboy, i think they produce the best games in the world. That doesn't stop me from owning my 360. I would like to get the PS3 if the price wasn't so high and I didn't hate the controllers.

Over the years i've owned a NES, SNES, Genesis, PS1, N64, Xbox, Gamecube, PS2, 360, and a Wii. You know what having some of everything has gotten me, more fun. I know I was lucky to afford all of these, but I believe I have had more fun then the idiot who won't buy one brand out of pure spite.

Xbox live is clearly dominant,range of games on 360 clearly dominant, community size etc etc.
PS3 is a good option if you want a more media centre type device and are really into movies or an exclusive sony title.

This is a great point. If mindless gamers were not so caught up in graphics they likely wouldn't buy a new console until at least 8 months into its cycle. At 8 months old, a new console will likely have a handful (possibly fewer) "must have" titles. Their predecessors, on the other hand, have dozens and dozens of grade A titles by the time the "next-generation" nears.

This is the exact reason that I don't buy into the "next-generation" hoopla.

"I can get a PS2 with 200 must play games (PSOne games included), or I can buy a PS3 with 2 games and some broken ass backwards compatibility"
