the xbox will win i can tell you guys this much. the xbox has more games then the PS3 and the Wii. Ok sure the 360 doesnt have a blu-ray drive but specualtions and rumors aswell as evidence has arrison the the 360 is actually going to be manufacutred with an internal yes that INTERNAL BLU RAY DRIVE!!!

this will be released but a date has not been confirmed. no to also mention that backwark compatability is good while the PS3 tend to only emulate PS2 and PSX unless you have a 60Gb version. Okay sure some of the games have better graphics but come on. When i first held the PS3 controller it felt like a toy not to also mention the cheap looking jewel that was in the centre.

The PS3 is oversized, gets hot, updates take a life time and the blu-ray player isnt even the best on the market its just the cheapest that comes with a console. sont could have done more and i think that the only way they will win this so called "CONSOLE WAR" is if they actually decide to realease the PS3 SLIM but even then how much is it goin to be priced at. i know the tag isn't going to be small.

Halo 3 sales still out do any other game that was sold. i rememeber when that game came out it was sold out in all the stores in a 8Km radius from me with in like 5 hours.

PS have lost all thier titles to other consoles i.e. Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid (RUMOR) and a few other including the infamous TEKKEN. Sony talk big but tell you the truth they dont really have anything on their side except Final Fantasy.

But you never know it might just say on the advert available on XBOX 360 (RUMOR)

Kind of sad, but it seems that every game released for PC that is released for consoles, has to be dumbed down.

Ohh well, I will always side with the console that has the most indepth games, is the most useful, and has backwards compatability...

Ya it probably will have 10 years life cycle but its not the dominent console in the market right now. Its people buying it probably for a few games that they missed out on or something.

And look at how much faster technology is imporving nowdays compared with when the PS2 was released. What was it? 64 core CPU's by 2012 or something?

no - the entire thing is infact bull regardless of his conclusion. Even if they said PS3, I could really have cared less to be honest. Constantly people go on about console wars and what not. Yes, since the stone age consoles have been compared/criticized/ect but the consoles are all 2 years old now and its beginning to feel like kicking the old horse until he gets back up. I havent seen a "console war" article for a good couple of months now, and really its stupid.

Until newer consoles come out, they will still constantly be compared. BUT, right now feels kind of like one of those quiet moments where pretty much all the Wii owners, 360 owners, and PS3 owners are happy right now. The Wii got some good games over the past 2 months, the PS3 and 360 owners got GTA4, M$ has been cutting down on RRODs, and Sony is pretty much done playing catch up and is beginning to launch some amazing looking games in the upcoming months.

Exactly my sentiments. Home is nothing more then a wanna be sims that allows you to play chess and put a picture frame on the wall. Oh did i mention you can walk around in a mall?

then it must be a pretty good disadvantage because the number of live users is increasing every. According to an article a while ago, live has hit more then 10 million users, assuming that it was one user per xbox 360 sold, that means more than half of xbox 360 owners are a part of live.

If your going to denounce something, at least have an arguement to go with it explaining you posistion instead of looking like the little kid who closes their ears and starts screaming because someone says something they don't like hearing. I give credit to ElMike, even though i disagree with him on a lot of things with the PS3, at least he attempts to back up his point without random baseless comments.

and how will something like home "pwn" the 360 exactly? what does home offer besides walking around, changing the way a 3d house looks, playing chess, putting a trophy on the shelf, and changing your clothes? Home isn't even a game. If anything it's a dumb down version of the sims.

exactly my thoughts. ps3 is better at movies and music and the 360 is better at games.

I already did. The people buying new PS2s are an entirely different audience. The product cycle for the PS2 may be 10 years, and that's Sony's choice. But the console cycle is not defined by what one Sony product does, it is defined by what the market does...i.e., from launch of one console version to the next, the defining moments that create these "console wars". The console cycle for the PS2 was six years, because they released a supplanting product (the PS3) after six years.

And if you think there won't be a PS4 for another 8.5 years, you're crazy. Microsoft will release something new within four years, I speculate...they will have to, by then the console games will be looking like crap compared to what a contemporary PC will be able to produce. And if/when Microsoft makes a move, Sony will have to counter with a new console of their own.
