EA is so outta the loop , it's not funny. If I were a shareholder, I'd be fuming. They've dropped Madden from the PC platform, and now they're doing the same thing with the Tiger Woods series. The TW series has at least 200,000 active users, and probably many more. EA isn't utilizing subscription services with these games to any great degree, missing an enormous opportunity for easy revenue. They grossly underestimate the PC gaming community.

Nice to have some data now to back up our claims the industry is still making money.

But the reason for all the b&^%hing is because yea we know there will always be games on pc. Of course pc gaming for the laymen isn't dieing.

The problem is the big devs not doing pc exclusives. Some ports are ok and they do a decent job at them but most are horrid. Lacking pc specific controls and limiting options for graphics and game abilities.

That is what piracy is killing. There is a difference and if you are a true PC gamer then you know that.

But yea, other than that. This is good news, maybe some will not be so weary of the pc market and jump in with a new title they wouldn't have made before.

Here's the thing people dont realize. And I will come out and say something real quick...

I have experienced the Pirating of software. However, despite the fact that I had taken software before, it did not keep me from purchasing games.

Example - I "Pirated" Star Trek: StarFleet Command III (Because I couldnt find any copies on t3h int3rweb), but I still purchased BF2, BF2142, The Orange Box, and Crysis.

Corporations crying that they are "Suffering" dont know ****. Which is why I support Pirates.

NO WAY! A CORPORATION LIED TO US?>!?!?!? ZOMG?!?!!!

Companies always inflate piracy numbers. Piracy has no effect on EA's balance sheet.

Its not piracy. Piracy has been with PC gaming since the beginning, so why would it be "killing" it now?

No, what's killing PC gaming is EA. EA buys up developers left and right, turns their good games into crap, and then when nobody buys their crap games they blame it on piracy. And then they take all their games and move them over to console because its cheaper to develop for fewer platforms, so they start cutting PCs out of the loop.

well here is my 2 cents

Yes piracy has been a problem from the start but it is easy now then it was before.. don't argue this..

While i don't like EA buying up companies and restricting them its no excuse to pirate there games and certainly vs consoles piracy is an issue.

While this shows that MMOs and definitely FPS are doing fine and are a major part of pc gaming, it really is missing the really good single player games. or atleast sales in them.

Just remember that companies that get swallowed by ea aren't forced to do it. They accept them selfs. Ea has done a few good things though....

So, why hate ea? Its the dev's and companies that are cashing out. If they believed in what they were doing, and they were doing it well they wouldnt need/want to cash out. Frankly i dont miss anyone that has been swallowed by ea.
