I have to ask the same thing of the Bioshock movie as the film adaptation of Max Payne... What can they possibly add to the property? The best that this film can possibly do is be almost as good as the game it's based on. They can't replicate the feelings of pity for the Big Daddies or the satisfaction of saving the Little Sisters anymore than they could the familiar cold anger after watching Vlad shoot Mona.

He did a good job with "Pirates" imo. At any rate it bound to be loads better than anything Uwe does.

Agreed. I've said this before and I'll say it again - video games make lousy movies. Why, oh why, do they keep making movies from video games?

Oh yeah...cause Hollywood is out of ideas.

Video games dont make lowsy movies it's just when the directors try to replicate the feeling of games they can't do it because its a whole different standpoint. Now if they instead went from a stanpoint of a comic like Ironman and made it that way it would be sweet like Showing the prestory to the plane crash and going into it. the struggles of trying to survive and maybe even a relief effort for the plane which gets blown out of the sky or water by those evil twisted guys under there.
