okay seriously now, i was speaking in terms of sonys marketing plan and showing my OPINION that they are not so off track has people think, i wasnt shooting down the 360 at all, or xbox live. I only stated, as a side-note also, that it will be competeing with xbox live. Can the fanboys please STEP OFF

spart you seem so threatened by home for some odd reason in this thread

It sucks it's delayed but it's almost a proven fact that if something is delayed it will typically have higher quality if it was released early.

I do have to agree with that, but I am hoping it will be fun. It will be really disappointing if it is boring after all of these delays.

I don't see how this compares to XBL, because in order to do anything in Home you must walk to ur destination. PS3 fan boys just see this as something to compare to XBL success, but really Home is just a sims but you can find people and try and cyber with them. So have fun ps3 fanboys with ur over hyped sims game. =D

lol ummm

your thinking far to literal, thats like saying XP user interface doesnt compare to vista's. Home will compare directly to xbox live because of what they both are, yes home is more like a sim kinda thing, but its basically sony's fancy way of representing a online network. They're trying to change online gaming and put a spin on it.

and im not sure to many people on this forum would apprciate a comment like yours, i dont want to speak for everyone but in terms of fanboyism its just down right anoying.

Comparing XP and Vista isn't even close. When you buy a PC you have the option of using Vista or XP, they are in direct competition. If you a buy a PS3 you will have to use Home, if you buy a 360, you have to use XBL. So they don't compare directly, you can't just choose which one you will use, its whichever console you have that determines it.

How about the missing part? or the ready for release by next gen consoles part?

Its kind of ironic to scoff at a service which is storming the console world as we speak and sing from a soapbox the wonders of some free service which hasn't even turned up yet.
Well the PS3 and PS Network currently offer the same featuresas the 360 and XBL, minus all the downloadable content atm. Home's just an added bonus...and the PSN is free in case you didnt know. But really? Who's gonna pay 4 or 5 dollars for an episode of the Colbert Report?

they probably finished Duke Nukem Forever once, but then realized that it looked like a ps2 game in today's pc world, and are pulling it up to par graphically.

i don't know why xbox can justify charging for XBL....each game is hosted from someone's console, not an external server. they just need to keep infrastructure servers up for voice messages and such. There's also no storage costs that MMO company's face. People pay for it, so they will keep charging

my point was that they are both networking interfaces, its wrong to view one has a *****y sims game and the other has a networking service.
