I think so too. If he's still the best, even if the new games coming out are different, he should still be able to master them and win. If he enters a comp now, he'll probably just lose.

I say it again...

Money is the motive behind this... He doesn't need to try and come top anymore... The money he has earned and now constantly gets from royalties and the F4T4L1TY name will have most likely set him up for a good while or even life.

Add to that no-one can keep their skills forever, there will always be someone better than you.
