Default [ExtremeTech] AMD GAME! AMD Fires Back

http://www.extremetech.com/article2/...2310821,00.asp

Quote:
Last week in my Think Digital column, I totally dissed the AMD GAME! initiative. Within seconds of the opinion column going live, AMD contacted me to set me straight. It appears I may have misinterpreted the scope of the labeling program. What follows is the transcript of a telephone interview, conducted on May 29, between myself and AMD Gaming Strategist Brent Barry, and edited only for clarity.
HA! that guy really pissed off AMD.

Honestly i'm surprised they aren't scared to spend the money to fund it.

Very interesting article, however nothing new is really said they are just coming to explain to a person who didn't get it and had the power to make that turn into a big issue.

While nothing new is said really I like 2 things here. One is that some guy that reviews things can scare a big company like AMD and hopefully make them be honest and upfront. At the least I hope that it can give them pause. This also requires though that said reviewer is GOOD, KNOWLEDGABLE, and LOOKING OUT FOR THE CONSUMER.

Secondly I liked that AMD called him up to straighten things up for him. It does seem that they really care about PC gaming and want it to do good. I hope them the best and hope that they do this honest and right.
