Default [Kotaku] Rock Band 2 Announced

Quote:
Shocker! Harmonix has done and made Rock Band 2. The game will be out on the Xbox 360 this September, and the PS3 later this year. The sequel will feature a new set list, and the RB2 bundle will feature "quieter, more realistic, and more reliable instruments" says Lead Designer Dan Teasdale. The good news for those who already own Rock Band is that all the songs you've purchases so far will be playable and supported in Rock Band 2.

This is awesome but I also hope they allow you to install/download the songs from the first rock band game if you have it. I have 210 songs in Rock Band.

Awesome. I don't need quieter/more reliable instruments, I need a new game compatible with the instruments I already have. Therefore, Rock Band 2 > Guitar Hero World Tour before either even hits the shelves.

Edit: Guess I'd better get to work on finishing Green Grass and High Tides on Expert...been working on that damn song forever!!!

they need to port it the PC like they did with GH3...
GH3 wasn't as smooth on PC as on consoles, but they can probably sort that out with a week of brainstorming, right?

Quote the truth there, though, the Stratos need an update too, I hate those things as far as reliablility goes. Though, my Les Paul sucks up batteries like no other.

So instruments upgrades are a good note in my book.

It wasn't as smooth, but with the Custom song pack you can have so much more fun.

I just want to know how the older songs will be compatible because I was expecting more drum pads/cymbals to hit for rb2 since gh4 and RR will have more.

 I love it when they say that your a loser for playing it, and you should play real guitar, because I actually DO play real guitar.

Although, Slash is right (In the GHIII Video with him), its harder to play if your an actual guitarist, more used to actually hitting strings, etc.

I've played Rock Band twice, really fun.
