I've always wanted to try out the Diablo series in the past. While watching the gameplay movies I found myself saying "Wow, this is going to be a f'king AWESOME game". What I want to know is, am I going to be totally lost while playing Diablo III? This is going to be by first time playing one of these games (ALL I play are FPS) Being that I have no idea what the little symbols are, items you pick up, or how to even attack. Is this going to be easy for someone like me to jump into the Diablo series and know what the hell is going on??? Please inform me

Am i missing anything from the orginal Diablo??? Or just go buy D2 and D2:LOD?

Not really. D1 is a good game in its own respect, but its more of a nostalgic experience for D2 players.

Just don't get D2 without the expansion, its unplayable.



Gamespot has it has being released on December 31, 2009, which is over 500 days from now.

I played Diablo 2 classic for a long time (this was before they had the whole ladder-no-ladder deal) simply because d2 lod was getting too crazy withduping and runeword enigma shiz. That and LOD puts no emphasis on rares. Its just an entire game of everyone running around wearing all the same uniques.

However, if you are looking to play through the game for story reasons, you'd have to play LOD. Its just D2 classic with more items, an extra act, 2 classes, and a bigger inventory.

Well if you are a hardcore player(note: not the gametype) or you pvp then thats true. But I just can't stand the inventory size, lack of runewords, charms, and baal runs.
