Default [Shacknews] Chrono Trigger coming to DS "this holiday season"

Source
Square Enix's CT site

Quote:
Original Story: A new page on publisher Square Enix's Japanese website suggests that the company is planning to port its acclaimed SNES RPG Chrono Trigger to the Nintendo DS.
I now have a single reason to buy a DS. Best RPG ever with outstanding music.

(if I set the thread up wrong, my apologies, this is one of my first "news" threads...also sorry if this has been posted already)

Though the article and countdown only suggest a Japanese release of the project, Square Enix has localized nearly all of its recent Nintendo DS offerings.
American, or not, I'm buying the hard copy of this game. My favorite game of all time

Well, if they keep it the exact same way as the SNES release, I'll be happy. God only knows what they'd use the bottom screen for.

Just a little more to throw in.

It has been confirmed for the US, and it's being tweaked a bit to feature full touch screen functionality. Also they're saying they may add a new dungeon.

Hell yes, dude!

I've never played it, but I've seen it, and I've also played Chrono Cross for the PlayStation. I should have tried it out in an emulator, but I never got around to it yet. This will be much better than that!

Nice! I just finished the FFIV remake for DS and it was lovely. Now that they confirmed Chrono Trigger, maybe they'll redo Chrono Cross and FFVI!
