on topic - i dont think the PS3 really needs a price cut? better they keep it as it is, and allow for bundle deals on newly released games, like they have been.

not to mention most bundles now cost the same as what most of us have already paid, and they come with a DS3 controller now.

How the heck would they make money? XBOX has no bluray support, that feature alone costs more than the XBOX itself.

The PS3 doesnt need a price cut right now. MGS 4 in 1080p rivals DX10 games out right now and they keep saying the 360's GPU is "better" haha, as far as im concerned, until the 360 gets out something as top notch as the movie-like infamous Metal Gear Solid 4, then they need to cut prices to keep selling. Almost anyone and everyone that wants a 360 already has one. Plus i imagine now that the PSN is officially a free version of LIVE, even the people who have one are second guessing the PS3.

Microsoft in my opinion seems desperate, only $50 more then the wii and the jump in hardware from the wii to the 360 is alot bigger then that. Every company has to make a compromise for the demands of peoples pockets but damn thats low for a (semi) HD console. PS3 has free online, a huge future ahead of it, blu-ray support, camera, bluetooth, audio, keyboard mouse & picture support.

I'll just quit right there. The PS3 is worth the pricetag, period.

nice to know. i'm planning on picking up a 360 eventually anyway
most of the games i've been interested in over the years seem to be gravitating there anyway as well.

although i do keep eyeing the PS3 as a blu-ray player, still one of the cheapest ones out there and hey, at least i can play the occassional game once every blue moon or so when i'm not watching like Planet Earth

also, Vegas is great fun. the cheapest place to eat?
there's a McDonald's on the way to the Venetian (coming from Imperial Palace anyway). $1 menu = food all week ^_^

The PS3 will only recieve a price drop once it becomes profitable to Sony. Right now, its boarder line.

In N Out Burger all the way baby. Quick, cheap, AMAZING, healthier then McDonalds food. I treasure In N Out because I get it only 4 times a year. Twice every time I come down to Las Vegas. It is SUPERB.

When you're in Vegas, you need to be hitting up the buffets! (easy for me to say since we have In 'N Out all over the place here but still...) There is a GREAT buffet right next door at the Excalibur. Get on it!

Right now the Wii is pretty much owning the competition. Sony and Microsoft can't really do much in the prices, after spending so much to make them. The PS3 seems to be progressing in sales, but how long has the 360 been in the 16-19 million sold units range?

As a fan of Nintendo, its nice to see them back on top for once, Wii is pretty fun I must admit. o___o
