[Yahoo] Diablo 3 Fans Outraged

Video explaining the dispute of players VS. the new graphics style in Diablo 3. My personal opinion is that they are fine the way they are, and that the media has thrown out of proportion (surprise surprise...) the views of a small portion of the population of people following the Diablo 3 announcement.

More grit, would be fine. The way it is now, fine too.
I don't care, they seem to have the gameplay spot on. I just want to bash in skulls with my friends already.

interesting
but I like the newer graphics and all the extras they did to it much better than the old diablo and diablo II, Diablo II was way too dark to be playing. It'll be nice to see some PvP videos soon cause thats where all the fun comes from playing a diablo game.

I prefer realism and less kitsch, but from the look of it I will have reserve judgment until it debuts. Who knows, it might be great and all the decriers may eat their words,

They're upset that it's too brighter and more colorful than Diablo II - and therefore unworthy of a sequel to Diablo 2? WELL, just darken the contrast & color on your monitor! Ding! Tuh-duh! What a stupid, petty complaint.

The main problem I have, is not the graphics or anyone that is against them... It's the fact that now a mainstream media source, where some people probably look for their news, is going to persuade people who would not have had second thoughts about the graphics when they saw the gameplay trailer, are now going to think that they are too much like WoW...
