Default [Wired] Why iPhone Games Will Rule

http://www.wired.com/gaming/hardware...l_iphonegames#

Quote:
  • The iPhone's processor thinks almost twice as fast as the Sony PSP's brain.
  • Its touchscreen is more responsive than the Nintendo DS's, recognizing subtle finger taps, pinches, and spreads.
  • The three-axis accelerometer, like the one in the Wiimote, could replace the thumbstick — Sega has already exploited this ability for an iPhone port of Super Monkey Ball.
  • Wi-Fi could make for mean multiplayer mayhem.
  • Cell-tower triangulation could be used for location-aware games.
  • Attention developers: Get to work!

you have to move the whole phone to play games like monkey ball. It gets annoying pretty fast.

the author of that article is ignorant. but it's good advertisement for apple.

-you cannot compare processor to psp that way
-games need buttons
-sony will make sure apple gets crushed if they enter the gaming market lol

Um, Iphones are expensive compared to PSP/DSs, who is going to buy them for gaming, and where are the developers supporting it?

I heard people are having problems with updating (everything from bricking to it just not updating). I would wait 'till it's more mainstream.
