Luckily for Sony, HD content is still not affordable for digital distribution.

We are moving away from physical media though, and I think that sucks. I love having a disc copy of all my software, music and videos.

So long as there's a few of us left, we'll still be able to get hard copies.

I have about 6mb download speed and it takes me about an hour to download a 720P movie. I know you would not be able to stream that kind of movie but its definitely workable to download.

Personally for movies I would rather have a hard drive full of movie files rather than a whole bunch of hard copies. Really its just a matter of storing the files on a portable hard drive instead of a DVD or Blu Ray disk. I mean I can store hundreds of movies on my one terabyte hdd and bring it anywhere and watch them (friends house, visiting relatives) as long as there's a computer to play them.

Games are a different story though, I think it will be a while before I get used to no disk's.

USA only?

Drop the price of the Xbox360 in Canada since it's a piece of crap without all these extras.

This is similar to the cash/credit card issue. Even though digital money are widespread today most people still prefer carrying coins and bills in their pockets.

Digital distribution won't replace hard copies. For one you don't get a printed box or manual, and second should you want to move the media to another PC, you'd either have to burn it to a disc or transfer it by other means which would take time.

Also you'd need plenty of storage space to keep all the downloaded media. I'd rather keep my games and movies on discs and save hard disk space for only the strictly necessary.
