E3 is now lame IMO, as it's ditched a lot of the big attractions and fans, and many PC devs have just ignored it.

Those three things are all interrelated - fewer fans leads to less developer interest leads to fewer devs coming leads to even less fans and it compounds from there. E3 is a game festival, not a cooperate luncheon. The mangers need to remember that and they'll build back popularity.

Yes, we need E3. We just don't need a bunch of nobody's and giving away a bunch of free crap just for attending. Save costs, show the good stuff, make it efficient.

Well for PC we have Quakecon and Blizzcon....how about every company just makes an event called "their name" + con and incorporate it with a LAN party... success! I can see it now. Valvecon, Biowarecon, Crytekcon, and so on!

In my opinion, there is no need for it anymore. I think another factor that caused its demise was G4 covering it.

Honestly, I want the old E3 back. Because it was an "Entertainment Expo" and once they changed it so much it wasn't entertaining anymore. Even seeing the show on G4, it just doesn't feel entertaining and if I want to watch anything I just go online now instead of recording/watching the "live" coverage.
