question now is - can they fit it on 1 bluray game?

Taking a 4 CD game, creating it from the ground up again with possibly even MORE content, and putting it on a single 50GB disc seems.... almost impossible to me. Especially when MGS4 could barely fit 1 50GB disc.

Wait i think that MGS4 data was uncompressed, if they would of compressed it, it would of taken a lot less space.

This is going to FAIL SO BAD and im really pissed.

Square Enix CAN make good turn based RPGs. EA cannot. this will be another **** up like FFX2 was.

I Second the motion for FFVIII remake. Any game with a gun and a sword as one weapon is cool as far as im concerned

Wait, where did you get EA from? EA was never mentioned anywhere in this article lol. What are you talking about?

Compression = worse textures and overall graphics. And to be honest, the FFVII PS3 demo was actually somewhat better looking then MGS4.

i <3 FF7 i remember christmas morning getting a playstation and final fantasy 7 and sitting there all day while my family got durnk playing FF7 The story was awesome. The side adventures were alot of fun. I remember the clock counter stopping at 99:59:59 for me. I covered every nook and cranny in that game

i would definetly buy a PS3 just for the nostalgia!

That's the impression that I got as well. It was in the context of the blu-ray Advent Children, so it either has to be an AC game or a FF7 remake I'm thinking.

I better start saving up some cash because I would seriously buy a PS3 just to play this if it doesn't come out on 360.

God.. No, not 7. For the love of god, FF8..

FF8 owns 7.. Not saying 7 is bad, but 8 is soo much better.

I didn't miss the announcement, but I wasn't particularly impressed. Sure, it's great that a new generation of gamers will get to try it, but really, I've already played the game a bunch, and the extra dungeon is nothing to write home about. Heck, they aren't even spiffing up the graphics. I just want a brand new game in the series. SE needs to lay off the remakes and ports. They've been cranking them out and left and right, and I'm about ready for a change of pace.
