i think you will find that GTA4 will be incredibly hard to mod.

dunno if you've played it or not, but the physics, for example the car damage/collision damage code would be so hard to re-create.

i would love to see it done though. but theres WAY more to GTA4 than any other GTA before, in terms of engine and creation.

Why is it that with every generation of pc gamers that come out.

They get a more more hopeless attitude about modding?

I mean pretty soon "I dunno man, opening txt files is pretty hard"

It will be busted into and it will be modded.
I have modded every game out for gta that has come to pc.
and it gets easier and easier as more people look into it and come up with ways to fix things.

I just wonder if they will use the same extensions they used to use.
If so, then ok this will be a snap, if not we start from scratch.

but we still have to understand, that the magazine pcgamer the reason the name is familiar to you, is because they went outa business like 7 years ago.

its not that we are getting a more "hopeless" attitude about modding, i think you are taking it the wrong way here.

after looking at the mechanics of the game, it will be pretty hard for modders to accomplish..well, modding.

no ones said its hopeless. its quite obviously getting harder. if you've played GTA4, you will see that it is WAY past the other GTA games in terms of how its created and designed.

If you mean it gets boring after playing the whole game through a few times....then what do u expect?

I can only stand to play any single player game one time through, unless it has significant rewards for playing again. (like diablo, you got better weapons and could level further, didnt have to start from scratch)
