Gamespot interviewed Dice, asking if BF heroes would be the last PC BF for the next six years. Heres the direct copy of the interview

GS: If Heroes does take off, does that preclude the launch of a traditional Battlefield-style game for the PC for the next six years?

BC: No, there are 250 people at DICE, several teams, and there are only 15 people working on Heroes.

GS: You think the audiences would be different enough?

BC: Absolutely. We're still absolutely committed to the core Battlefield PC gamer fans, and there are 250 people at DICE. Make what you will of those two statements.

BF3 has been confirmed already. As Vista only too btw.

and the source wouldn't be DICE - it would be GS or Gamespot.

Source? The only thing I've seen about BF3 is fake information that they'd show it off at E3, a demo in the summer, and a bunch of other false info.

Yeah, that's the thing I was talking about. It's a bunch of false info.

"Announcement and teaser trailer in January 2008" - Never happened.
"Possible public beta in "Summer 2008??" - Never happened.

In other words: It's fake.

Just because it had some info that turned out to be false, doesn't mean that the entire article was false. And, it possibly was going to happen but was pushed back for all you know. Nothing has been proven "fake".

Everything else IGN said was not proven false as of yet.

Maybe, but if you look at the source IGN took it from (Which is at the bottom of the post you linked to) it says "For clarification, the document doesn’t say that XP is not supported, it only lists Vista and OS X." which is true.

if its anything like Bad Company, its gonna be a huge win. i wouldnt even care if they ported Bad Company, would still be awesome.
