I have to disagree with the two above posters. Fish Hook was a very good map

Anyway, I have my Headset bundle already pre-ordered. I cannot wait until I pick-up my beta key on August 25th.

Socom1 and 2 is the the best third person shooter in my book. I remember the seal spawn on desert glory was a (female dog) but it was fun as hell because it made you worry about dieing in the first few seconds.

Also night Stalker a sniper favorite. And we definitely can't forget about blood lake. OMG that was kick ass if you were a seal and you had the sr-25 sd. If you could aim you were unstopable as long as no one could see u.

I remmeber when every one hated the 552sd for the terrorist. I decided to screw around with and started owning. From then on, everyone in that room started using it and it was a silence war. too bad the M4A1 silenced was still better.

What was more fun when you had sniper wars with bolt action but you had to use them like shot guns. What made that great was the fact that the bullet didn't go straight. So it was a combination of foot work and luck.

I liked fish hook only as a seal because it was fun to make the hostages run over terrorist mines making you win the round.

Another thing that made socom awesome. is when it was a pro vs a noob. The game was easy enough to give the noob a chance and the pro had the upper hand. Everyone always went crazy when the worst guy on the team is the only one left alive and he killed the whole other team.

Socom is the first game i ever heard the word noob tube. Lol it was like a socom law the the noob tube was automatically banned unless said other wise.

socom and blu ray is the only main reason im buying ps3. little big planet kinda made me want to play it. but other then that nothing else made me excited.

I hope this new socom is more like 2 and 1 and not like the crapfest they called socom3.

Socom 1 and 2 had the better single player, number 3 had a better story especially with the lady and the hole in the neck. But it was too easy. The multiplyer was nerfed when they added bullet range, and vehicles and made the maps to big. I stopped playing 3 about 4 months after getting it.
