I wont explain the details here till the project is finished 100%, also cuz many devs want to take a look at first and not get it patched that fast. I can say that if all will work like I want it to you'll need:

-- "Special" game dump of the game you want to play from HDD

-- One (any) original game bd

-- 2x minimum 60GB HDD's (illegal way - it worx but its not allowed in most countrys - its working like a packed game on psp memory stick)

OR

-1 60GB HDD + original disc (legal way - no need to be inserted while playing)

Im using newest firmware PAL 60GB SKU. 3 games tested yet - working.
Games which should be possible from the knowledge i got yet:

-- Warhawk
-- Motorstorm
-- Resistance
-- GT5
-- COD3
-- ...

I cannot check more atm, as I dont have else here. The final way will be a bit different than the video shows. Even there are 2 different ways to do it then, thats because there are 2 different groups of games. One can be done with 1 HDD but then you need the original disk of the game.

Homebrew is slowing being worked into the PS3.

Warhawk running from HDD?? You can already do that when you download the game from the PSN, which is probably what he did. I'd watch the video but the quality is so bad I can't do it.

If you already own the game legally, there's no sense in loading the entire game to the HDD, even if it loads a little faster.

So really the only application for this is illegally "owning" games without the disc. The whole "backup" argument is a nice excuse, but nothing more.

meh - I was thinking the same. I just like that homebrew is slowly breaking into the PS3.

To my understanding it only works on older titles. Still cool though. Blu-ray Java homebrew development is moving along too. IMO PS3 discs are so big it really isn't advantageous to have them on the hard drive because you have to spend so much on a new hard drive.

but not all games are 50GB large, infact none are really.

As do I. I just get tired of people beating around the bush (but I gues they have to). I can't wait for CFW with a S/NES, N64 emulator.
