What some people don't understand is that a lot of these professional had jobs or went to school before getting to where they were. If you stay in school you'll make progress toward something and if the gaming thing doesn't work out you'll have something to fall back on.

I never played Guitar Hero but I've played plenty of other games. At some point the amount of time played evens out so that the guy who plays for 60 hrs is still along the same level as the guy who played for 15 to 20 hrs a week. This really only changes in MMORPGS.
