Although I'm not a fan of 3rd person games in general, this game looks as if a 3rd person perspective would work better than 1st person for the style/gameplay it incorporates.

And there will be like a bullet time thing that'll show you where you have to go with a red line. The difficulty looks like it'll be piece of cake.

I'm very eagerly awaiting this title. Ubisoft started down this road with Assassin's Creed, but this is that on steroids. This is an attempt to give a first person view to what is traditional a third person genre, and its frankly amazing. It's a complete reinvention of first person gameplay mechanics, and for that alone it should be applauded - we are talking on the level of the invention of mouselook and the thumb-button.

And no, I don't think the look that they are trying to replicate is Crysis. The art style is minimalist where Crysis was ultra busy. The idea is to have this clean world where no one need fear anything, as long as they do what they are told and make every effort to lead unexceptional lives, and how a certain segment of the population will never be able to live like that, no matter how neat and orderly everything is on the surface. It's not a true sandbox game, but then even those generally have linear storylines when you decide to continue them.

I'm still excited for this..

I just think this game is too ahead of its time.

If realistic peripheral vision monitors ever become standard, I can see a whole slew of games like these taking off and really showing their true potential. It'd be like the (original) mario bros. of tomorrow.

The current FOV just seems so restrictive.. maybe the game devs can find another way to remedy this though.

The FOV is the same as on any FPS, and the remedy for that has always been for the player to develop a natural scan. I expect a similar tactic to work for this, though it may suck some of the immersion out if you think about it, but I don't intend to. What worries me is thinking that EA and DICE will rush it out in time for Christmas, and in the process leave in bugs that shouldn't make it passed a basic play test.
