It's more convenient to have ultimate ammo so I don't have to collect gun powder A,B,C and collect some damn recipe books.

It is more convenient to have ultimate health so I didn't have to worry about auto save and type writers.

Convenience is not always a good thing.

Umm......puzzles are what made the Resident Evil games. They don't make you run around a police station moving statues and collecting jewels for ****s and giggles you know. Likewise in Nemesis they didn't make you run around collecting batteries and wires to start elevators to laugh at noobs.....puzzle were and should be an important part of the Resident Evil games. Changing that makes the game linear and pointless.

Resident Evil was always about puzzles. Even RE4 had a few puzzles. RE was never meant to be a full out shooting game - hence Capcom is killing the series.

Basically, you're saying you want a bland, run of the mill, generic, linear shooter game. I think someone needs to actually play the Resident evil games before commenting.

It is true though

I know we both keep jamming on about how pants it will be without the original trademarks. But then we have a right to complain How can this be a game in the same series when it doesn't remotely follow the same plot or have ANY of the same trademarks......except for the main character.

I will definitely play the game, but I already know I won't enjoy it as much just because it won't offer the same experience as the first three games.

in re4, the jewels were pointless. Sure you get a bit of money, but what's the point when you can't even carry 2-3 big guns.

oh and there's the one ridiculous puzzle with close to no advice and had to look online. Adding a few puzzles to a game makes it unlinear and much more depth ?

ok w.e, this isn't going to get anywhere but down. You are entitled to your own opinion. Puzzles or no puzzles, I couldn't care less

RE4 was spammed with Typewriters!
RE1 (GC) didn't have so many and sometimes I ran out of ink ribbons!
Typewriters as a save method is very original.

You have to admit looking for pieces of a statue in a police station was kinda ridiculous. I like puzzles, but c'mon- some of them were so out of place.

I don't think they're killing the RE series. It's just changing; evolving with the time and players. You can't always have a game series that's about ink ribbons, no ammo, and so many puzzles that you wonder why the hell MC Escher and Hoodini were the lead designers for Racoon City's, um, everything.

I'm so sick of this word by now, but *change* has to happen or things get stale fast. They might lose a few uberhardcoreomgionlyusetheknifeyounoobs fans, but they're going to gain so many more people by being more user friendly.

tl;dr the game isn't losing anything.

IF you think about it. Who the hell has that much time to put a different lock on every freakin door in the house? I mean seriously, not one key worked for more than one door. Who the hell does that? then also, who the heck hides a key inside a coffin outside in the grave yard to the attic door?

i loved RE yea but it;s like damn, how many freakin keys the house cleaning crew have?

Kinda funny also how a lock pick can't lock pick a door. IM LOOKING AT YOU JILL!!!!

***!!! How can they do this! Even if a typewriter appears in a place that doesn't make sense they must retain the tradition! So what if I find a typewriter under water? or while walking in the desert? We must save the typewriter!

Yeah, but for RE1 there was a reason behind all of that explained in-game. And since most of the rooms were private rooms, of course they would have seperate keys.
