Sadly the PCI-e HDD they made was only for Linux. it was awesome but it was more than a year since they made it. I remember making a thread here and on sweclockers but noooooo after 2 month people started to find this.
anyway. this is a repost. I think I read about this new Fusion here on OC. still I'd like the IoDrive to be Windows supported.

ooooo thats pretty cool but y PCIe? wouldnt it be more sensible to wait for SATA 3? people that can afford this would have something like tri SLI or QUAD CFX and i doubt there would be room

Oh i c, but do u really need the full bandwith of pcie x8 or even x16? i thought even video cards cant even max out pcie x16 1.1 much less pcie x16 2.0

It can do over 100,000 IOPS. Yes... a holy crapping whoa amount.

There's new a sizeable gap between 2 x 16xPCIe performance and 2x 8xPCIe with high end crossfire and SLI setups. That gap is bound to get bigger as the cards make better use of the PCIe2.0 over time.

Also as a side note modern Sata controllers usally run on the pci-e bus anyhow , so this
would mearly eliminate a middleman controller chip.
