Im not a lazy SOB

Not everyone who rocks at video gaming, has a very good computer at worst, and spends time on a computer, is a fat, lazy, mindless idiot. I for one love gaming and everything about it, but I know when going from a gamer to obsessed with CS:S or similar is breaking boundaries. These boundaries broken is what gives gamers a bad image....

Corporate television and big companies know exactly how to sway you. And with your mind being vegitated through television, it's quite easy.

when i watch tv its usually how its made, the simpsons, king of the hill, house or some other show, i have a dvr so i choose what i watch and dont have to see no damn commercials

1. We all have "addictions". If your #1 addiction is gaming, not food, that alone can have an effect.

2. I believe it's the same psychological tendencies that drive HC gamers and HC athletes, so the difference between them isn't a big one.

Gaming co-incides with food and drinking. Its almost like the equivalent of a couch potatoe if you're addicted to an MMO except - you actually think more in an MMO.

Well, thats an MMO... aka a joke. It's in between of watching TV and doing something, IMO.

It depends what kind of game you are playing. For example it is impossible for me to play as many hours of a FPS (UT2004/UT3) as my friend could pull in WoW... simply because the game requires a LOT more attention and hand movement than an MMO ever could.

You could never eat while truly playing a game, unless you're playing really casually and half paying attention to whats going on.

I should correct myself before people start flaming me. If you're addicted to any game whether it be an FPS like CSS or something like GoW on the consoles - its equivalent to a couch potatoe

You're right/wrong when you say that you can't eat while gaming. When you're playing an MMO - there is always a resting point where you can stuff your face or when you're traveling. If its an FPS or shooter of some sort, you stuff your face when respawning.

Well, I don't "stuff my face" anytime - but if I am eating at the time, those are the times I eat.
