![]() Metacritic: Mortal Kombat - 58/100 (based on 11 reviews) Mortal Kombat: Annihilation - 11/100 (based on 12 reviews) These are compiled, averaged "Metascores" which are based on multiple well-known review sites/critics. I know you're entitled to your own opinion... but seriously. I would have taken you more seriously if you'd said the first one was "OK". I've seen both these movies. The first one is bad. The second one is so terrible, it's almost fun watching it... just to make fun of it. EDIT: Sorry if I come off rude. But I've honestly never had anyone tell me they actually enjoyed either of those movies.

i kinda speak in riddles...* I can't think of game movies aside from resident evil that were as good as MK and Doom. I dont go by review sites either like you said its up to the viewer. Edit: You dont like any of those?

I actually enjoyed the first Resident Evil film, and I've heard people say they like it, so yeah review sites aren't always good to go by (it got generally bad reviews). Haven't seen the second or third one though.

my main beef with video game to movie transitions and their reviews is...since they are based off or 'inspired' by a video game, people have this certain expectation to see their favourite in-game moment on the big screen, or to expect an almost identical storyline. where as most of the time, writers take the concept of a video game and generate their own story, usually only keeping key parts of the plot intact. not very true to the gaming fan, but appealing to a majority none the less. i'll always stand true to my opinion that, if any of these game 2 movie titles were viewed from the point of view of someone simply going to watch a new movie, rather than viewing it as a comparison to the video game, then they would be more appreciated and more liked. you have to remember, "based on a video game" is a pretty broad statement in terms of writing and plot sequencing. EDIT: wow i was kind of confusing wasnt i. basically what im saying is, if you were to go to the movies and watch Resident Evil, without having played the game or knowing anything about it...chances are a LOT more people would have enjoyed it. since it was based on such a popular video game, theres already this harsh judgement and discretion floating around the title, before it even begins.

Chun-Li is obviously a Chinese lady, from China, whom speaks Mandarin, and looks like Chinese. Kristin Kreuk is no where near even resembling an Asian, let alone Chinese.
I would watch it if Maggie Q plays the role. Though a American/Vietnamese mix not exactly close to being Chinese but way better than Kristin Kreuk 'cuz at least she looks Asian, and she speaks Cantonese. *Add* She's hot, Kreuk is not.
