It also has some of the best graphics and audio on PlayStation 3. All of the textures, from a sun drenched African landscape to Sackboy's realistic looking burlap skin look amazing, as do the various special effects. Wood looks like wood, feathers blow in the breeze, fire hypnotically dances in the air and spit-shined black boots gleam in the light. Now complimented with a catchy soundtrack (LittleBigPlanet's signature main theme will be in your head for a while), and there's no doubt that Sony and Media Molecule nailed this game's presentation.
In a sense, LittleBigPlanet is only as good as we make it, and with the promise of downloadable content (including a Metal Gear pack, complete with Solid Snake Sackboy), there should always be some new world to explore or sticker to collect. Even if you have no desire to make anything, there will be a never-ending stream of content. Who knows, perhaps seeing other people's designs will inspire you, and if that happens, there's no telling how many doors you'll open. With that, we strongly encourage you to purchase this marvelous game and unleash those creative juices.

LittleBigPlanet is not a game you play, put down and forget about until you next turn on the PS3. It's a full-time occupation. A potential obsession. But most of all it's the platform-defining title that PS3 needed to happen this side of Christmas.
Not many games have you sitting on the train on your way into work with a notepad, jotting down ideas for things to try when you get home. Not many games have you in the pub discussing the mechanics behind a fully operable car, or how you make a giant robot that can shoot fireballs from its fists. Not with grown men at least.
The clever thing about LBP is that it's as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. The standalone story mode (yes there is one) contains a straightforward platformer that's so well-made and inventive that it alone is good enough a reason to purchase. Think of it like a physics-based Mario game. A very good one.

THE BOTTOM LINE: It's one of the most amazing and interesting gaming experiences ever designed. It's a sandbox, it's a playground, it's a set of creation tools powerful enough to fulfill your dreams-it's all those things and more. Seriously, if you own a PS3, you have to experience this game; heck, even if you don't own a PS3, go find someone who does and beg them to let you play. It's something you truly have to experience for yourself and I dare you, I triple purple dog dare you, to try and not enjoy yourself. I promise you won't be able to resist the urge to smile.

LittleBigPlanet may well save the PS3 (if it indeed needs saving), it may be the most creative game of all time, it could well usher in a new era of user-generated gaming, and has a chance of bringing about a 2D platforming renaissance, but all those things are down to you. The game Media Molecule has created won't do these things alone, but if gamers create the levels we think they're capable of, we might be looking at one of the most important games this console generation has seen. As it stands it's an entertaining platfomer, highly polished training tool and potential gateway to greatness. We're hoping it will end up being much more.

Last but not least - Here is a collaboration of all the negative problems in LBP - incase you don't want to read every review.

Welcome back, Sackboys and Sackgirls, to the Joystiq Nega-review. As always, this review takes the small negative bits from a variety of overly positive reviews and combines them into an overly devastating whole. This isn't meant as a serious critical look at a game, but rather as a counterpoint to what might seem like overly-effusive game for a game that isn't perfect (and no game is).
