Default [vr-zone] New Cat. Hotfix +45% Performance in Bioshock!

Quote:
New Cat. Hotfix +45% Performance in Bioshock!

http://support.ati.com/ics/support/K...estionID=38750

These provide a 45% performance boost in Bioshock (compared to the "Far Cry 2 HotFix")

http://www.rage3d.com/board/showpost...1&postcount=25

As posted(sp) earlier, this hotfix also increases Crysis performance about 10 to 20% (its the same hotfix).

Its a bit confusing. ATi release TWO hotfix drivers in the last couple of days. One for Far Cry 2 and second that adds support for 4650, 4550 and 4350 cards. This hotfix is based on the new 8.11 (8.542). the Far Cry 2 hotfix is based on Cat 8.10 (8.541).

Which, to me, shows their dedication to performance and fixing things if anything.

ati did really good with their drivers in bioshock,38xx did jump up quite a notch.
as for the FC2 hotfix drivers they were not that good, dropped a bit of performance for me in crysis.
is there a new driver based on 8.542?your first link doesn't seem to work and the second one was posted earlier.

Hmmm a 45% increase in a game that came out about a year ago. Nice work.

rofl a news post quoted from a random person on rage3d claiming they received a 45% increase in bioshock... these are the 8.11 RC1 posted a couple days ago...

I don't believe someone claiming a "performance boost" is worthy of a news post
