What we bring you this time is the heavy battle tank of the Clans, the Morrigu, taking out enemy base defense turrets with his armament of Large Lasers.

base defenses or trees?

who knows, maybe some poor elementals over there haha.

but ya, i like how the vehicles are more along the lines of the tabletop game where they are a real and significant threat as opposed to an afterthought to the mech fights

I think tanks, battle armor, and aerospace to be a large part of the game. If there are 32 people in a server, not all will be in battlemechs...

Can you imagine a server with 100+ people... I don't know if there are servers capable of that, but that would be amazing...

That could truly equate to an epic battle. If you could actually coordinate a relatively large-scale battle plan and have people follow it, communicating effectively and working as a team.... oh, the amazing potential. It may be hard to get the organization and cooperation down for such an encounter, but nonetheless I am really looking forward to this mod and guessing it'll be fun in any case.

I'll probably just ask for Crysis for Christmas. My older brother always buys me a bunch of PC games because he knows that's what I'm in to.

Question: Do they plan on making a single player campaign with this mod?

The main flaw I find in these mods i.e. total convertion...is that they never finish...Its a sad but true tale

Been waiting for the eclipse and this mod ever since crysis 1 got released...still to date its still not finished...Guess by the time they finish these mods people are going to move on to the next installment.

Keep your negativity to yourself. We all know the stats on mods, but there is no reason to kill our hope!

As of right now no, will be strictly multiplayer.

It will bring a new opportunity to leagues/units/clans in which battles will take communication to win. Commanding these battles would take some thinking, in which people with leadership and communication skills will come into play. It won't be like the older versions, it will take some tactical awareness to bring the enemy to their knees! Ah the potential....!!!

Well I remember hearing about something alonge a TC Mechwarrior mod but I didn't follow up on it until now... All I can say is Daym!

The mod looks fantastic. I also have been a long time MW player since MW2DOS and MW2 Mercs (my Fave and still play it on a P3 933 with a 16mb Voodoo Banshee at 1680X1050 lol) I also have MW3 and all of 4 though 4 took out the Simulation aspect it was still fun and MekTek has certanly kept it up well.

But it is definitly time they make a MW 5 and even though this game has no set Single Player Storyline just yet, it definitly could lead into one down the road. (What if EA see's this and think OMG, this could actually be feasable and makes a whole MW5 out of the CryTek2 engine? Far fetched I know but look what they did with BF2 and the DC team.

Also a Mechwarrior movie really needs to be made. Sure it would be a lot of CG and whatnot but if you could get the ILM guys into it and really make it hold onto one of the good storylines from the novels along with some fantastic Mech vs Mech scenes... there is no reason the movie wouldn't do well. Somethine NEW and Origonal which is wat the gaming and movie industry is seriously lacking today. Enough WW2 and other games and movies. Lets try some new Futuristic fantasy which actually has a big and set universe to play off of..
