Yeah. I only got BF2 when it was about a couple months after release. Then from that I went to BF2142, to CS:S, and now I'm here basically.

So you just started PC gaming? BF2 BF2142 and CS are separate from the battle tech universe incase you didn't know.

I remember when I built my first rig and this was the first game I bought. Mechwarrior 4 and The black knight Merc expansion were awesome. omg I've must've been in middle school when this all came out. And now im in my second year of college. I was mad when my disc broke. But from the ashes of FAFSA comes a new dawn of mechwarrior. I will buy crysis just for this.

I wish Fafsa had never sold M$ the rights to the game in the first place... it was just the beginning of the end.

I remember spending hours upon countless hours playing mechwarrior 2, ghost bear legacy and mercenaries. I did not get into the online component until mechwarrior 3, and everything else is history.

I even got into the mechcommander 1&2, though 2 was a big fail. The sad thing is the game was designed to be very detailed, being able to change out engines, gyro's, electronics, and also having legit battletech weapon systems. You can edit files to get the stuff in the game ie: LRM20's, 15's, 10's. There are a ton of other stuff, but its a shame the game was rushed and the detail of the game was lowered to M$'s standards.

Maybe... just maybe this will give us years to come of battlemech action!

I have to agree with that, I would have very much preferred for FASA to stay independant. My favorite was mechwarrior 2 mercenaries. I have to say that MW4 was not a terrible game but it changed a lot of aspects to the game that I liked. If nothing else though, it'd be nice if the abomination of Mechassult had never come about.

Atleast MWLL has in fact gotten the green light from M$ saying that they can do the mod without interference from M$.

These mechs don't seem as streamlined as others do, especially Armored Core, or Gundam. But they can be.

I used to have a fast little mech, could go invisible, overheat the enemies with a flame thrower, drop mines. EMP pulse. And it had dinky little machine guns and jump jets. I could hit run and leave dealing a good amount of havoc before anyone catches me.

omg, i hated that on mw3.... people would either be a 80 ton mech? (can't remember it's name) and load it up with a bunch of lx autocannons or whatever and just rape you from afar or they be a simple little cheap fast mech and over heat your mech so damn fast :|
