It's too bad that many people influenced by Japanese mechas think that BattleMechs are for pussies. They're missing a lot.

It is true, people base other 'mecha' and battletech, it doesn't do it justice. You can't compare robotech and other mecha to battlemechs, its a different universe all together.

Many of us hardcore fans have been following battletech from the novels, board games, card games etc.. these mechs you see have history, like the Timber Wolf/Madcat, it is one of the most FEARED battlemechs on the battlefield when and even after the Clans invade the Inner Sphere.

BTW, I am still awaiting sighting their ver. of the Timber Wolf, ah the patience one must have!!

I actually had a pretty nice medium weight mech. Cause I used 4 gauss rilfes. With 2 small lazer guns. I'd jump and shoot the fatties with all 4 gauss rifles, and they would get knocked down. Then I could defend myself from the fast guys with my little lazers.

I think I'm going to make a MWLL thread under the PC games section so we can discuss without continously bumping the newsthread. Also, did you notice their captions? the previous image was of a Arrow IV going by. Nasty things those Arrow IV's, I know I'd be alpha striking whoever fired that.

Yes there are still one or two leagues that host mw4 servers. I have buddies who still play, but for the life of me I don't see how.

Mektek.net is about to release MP4, many new options and so forth, if your interested just check them out. They also took over a project called Assault Tech 1, it is a re-creation of mechwarrior 2, there is a beta. I have to admit for being a community project, it has its perks!

Nah, this needs to be in the news section for ALL to see! There are so many followers out there who have no idea what MW:LL is, which is a shame, but someone has to bring light to their dark dark world!!

ok ok, I was trying to be a good OCN member partly by not bumping a news thread but... ya, I agree with you. I will still keep a log of all of the images in the PC Games thread but I'll keep updating the image on the first post in this thread.

although I <3 the anime-style mechas with near fanatical levels
the battlemechs are more "less fluff more actually works" and I can never get enough of them.

also, me being active after like 2-3 weeks of nothing woo!
