Default [MWLL] MechWarrior Crysis Mod Update

I am still getting this info directly from the source.

Quote:
Welcome to the first weekly Update from the team of the Crysis total conversion modification MECHWARRIOR: LIVING LEGENDS.

After releasing more than 130 screenshots, 4 videos and an exclusive audio file, we've decided to take a slightly different approach and put an end to the 'Advent / Release Countdown calendar'. From now on, we'll be presenting to you a selected set of newly implemented features and assets - once a week. This should accommodate all those looking for eyecandy as well as those looking for more specific information.
Source

This is a Crysis Mod MechWarrior game that has been in production for a while. It's shaping up to be a great looking total conversion mod for crysis and so far looks to be the most faithful interpretation of the battletech series. This is a free mod (microsoft will cancel their right to make the mod if they make it a commercial endeavor) which holds up progress some but they seem to have a large team associated with it; not to mention some crytek employees helping in their free time. I personally do not have a connection to their team but have watched them for a while and I started this in NOV 08 when they started coming out with more info about progress.

Current Edit: Ok, the current status of the mod is simply working to get it out as soon as possible. They had wanted to release it in december but still had too many bugs for them to be happy with a release. Currently, there is a closed beta going on (don't bother trying to get on the list, if you were active on the MWLL forum enough to get in, you would already know about the situation) and presumably in the next 3-6 months they'll have a relatively bug free open beta to release. Now, as you can see above, they will be posting large updates once weekly. So far it has been mostly screenshots and commentary on current work.

Current info from their weekly update:

Welcome to the ninth overall and first weekly update for June of 2009, presented by the team of the Crysis total conversion modification MECHWARRIOR: LIVING LEGENDS.

After last week's fairly huge update, this one is going to be a bit shorter. This time, we've got the textured Atlas, a short video demonstrating the time-of-day-settings on SA_Extremity and a new set of playtest impressions. Enjoy!

Current or cool looking image from their advent calendar/new screenshot thing

You've done good, man... Very good.

I can feel the MechWarrior chip implanted in my skull buzzing. It's demanding use. It shall not take "maybe later, I have a headache" much longer... =O

Yes, in fact there will be elementals. Along with pilotable vehicles, air vehicles, and i think the dropships might even be usable. This is the closest i've seen any game come to battletech universe accurate. It's like they're channeling FASA here. And release date is supposed to be end of the year but I would not be surprised to see it delayed a few months, though i don't think it will need to be delayed more than 6 months from what i've seen.
XD

Edit: no real good way of giving a screenshot though i'm looking right now.
Ok, these are 2 screen shots i pulled from the first video, hopefully this will work.

Yea this has been in development for some time....I hope they get it out. You wouldn't believe how many Crysis mods are announced and completely abandoned...it's laughable.
This one seems to be making it though.
