unfortunately, i can sort of understand the issue with not having credit card/paypal. but i mean, there are ways around not having one yourself you know.

if you were that desperate for the game that you needed to pirate it coz there was honestly no other way...why not ask a mate, or your parents? i know parental types have this crazy conspiracy related issue with handing out credit card details online..but come on, they gotta get over it, its the Noughties not the Nineties. and its Steam, a completely reliable (and proven so) resource.

also, someone said people didnt wanna fork out $20 to an unknown developer? what a crock of..you know what (i dont want another swearing infraction). these dudes busted their arse to bring their art to the world, show off what they can do, and you cheap out $20 on them just because you dont know them? if thats how you thought when you pirated that game, you did not deserve it at all, not even a bit.

they wont even see the whole $20 from every sale anyway, they will make a commission off it, probably not even close to 50% after all the other fees.

i get theres a current economic crisis going on but far out, have people really begun to cheap out this much as the norm?

my parents are soo STUPID............they think that their are hackers everywhere and their credit card is going to be "stolen" as soon as i punch the numbers in!...it irritated the **** outta me!!!!.....................in the news paper their are always stories of people getting skrewd online cos they replied to an email from the "bank" asking for their passwords....those people are morons too!....but ye...hear what ur saying...........



also , anather thing I should mention.....is if I want a game.....say for example Fallout 4 comes out..........all I need to do , is drive to the shop , take out my debit card (cant use that online) and buy the game , go home and install it..............


to buy a game online...........I would need to...

beg my parents.......tried dont work.........then ask my friends to use their card....and in all honestly...im a bit embarrassed to do that...........soo the obstacles for me , just at the end of the day is too much.


as an indie developer , they should focus perhaps with advertising?...........maybe they can use piracy to their advantage?........dunno how...just a thought

Bringing out the game in a box means they are entering effectively a whole new market. This means a lot, lot more costs, probably not that many more potential buyers and of course, a lot of work to sort out distribution channels.

I don't know about other countries, but you can get a debit card here from the age of 16. Try and get one?

Porky, i don't know which kind of debit card you have - i ONLY have one debit card, and i have bought a crap ton of stuff off of the net, from everywhere including Steam.

you're not supposed to be asked for a password with a debit card - only a pin when you run to the ATM.

anyways, i wouldn't pirate a game if it was mmade by 2 people... why??? that's just messed up... seriously messed up. i can understand piracy for the sake of fighting DRM, but there is no justification there...
