It's stupid that they are charging 1-5$ for stupid add-ons that should be free. It probably took a DEV like half an hour to make a new gun skin for Dead space.

I find it pathetic that they charge 60$ for a game then charge more for maps and small add-ons.

I own Dead Space for PS3 and the game wasn't even worth 60$ to begin with. It doesn't even have multi player. I'm not saying the game wasn't fun, although it only latest a few hours.

Add-ons are something that PC gaming will always have on its side.

I think it's the game makers that are making those charges. Sure doesn't make it any less stupid.

I've seen stuff for the add-ons to Dead Space in the Xbox and PSN marketplaces, but is this same content available for the PC version? If not, then screw EA.

yay for free content on the PC xD

and it dosnt matter who is charging for it, consoles are killing PC gaming for this very reason. Who would release free content for a console when you can charge for it? if you can charge for addons on a console, and PC gamers are expecting free content, why even bother making anything for them? we can just release new map packs for Halo3 and charge $20 to download it rather than actually perpetuating video game excellence.

Hell, even VALVe seems to be jumping on the console bandwagon. Atleast they released tf2, L4D, and portal before going 100% console, though it will sadden me when they make the full transition.

I cannot see this happening, ever. They've had too much investment in Steam to let it all get shut down at some point. They'll always focus on PC gaming.

yeah console is very much a side project for valve. heck, they only bother to put their biggest games on 360 which is their easiest option.

Most of their target audience exists on PC anyway.

Hell - Valve doesn't even like porting to the console. They leave the games to EA to do it. Valve really overall has nothing to do with the console ports.
