Default [PS3Fan]Amazon PS3s = $200 ; Vote on Select Bundles

Quote:
So the UK may be getting a pretty sweet deal with an 80GB "Blu-ray entertainment" PS3 pack for 300 quid, but for us Americans, we've got something even sweeter ... potentially! Why potentially? Because some of you out there will get the deal, while others will not. This is how it works: Amazon is offering three different discounted packages to its members; however, they will have to vote for only one of these as the one they want.

Casting a vote enters you in a chance to buy the items at the discounted price, BUT only if the majority votes in favor of your bundled set. If your choice wins, then you have a chance to be one of the lucky 500 who can snag a PS3 at that amazingly low price. Seriously, a full functioning PS3 with built-in Wi-Fi and an HDD (plus extras) for the price of the stripped down Xbox 360 Arcade? It's a good value and worth trying if you don't already have a PS3. The voter's bundle winner will go on sale by Friday, Nov. 28. So, just what are the choices? The image above shows it all, though we've written everything down after the break. And, of course, hit Amazon to vote!

[Thanks Miguel!]

PS3 Blu-ray Sci-Fi Bundle - Price: $574.00 - Winning Price: $199.00
Deal: 80GB PS3, Firefly: The Complete Series [Blu-ray], Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, PS3 Blu-ray Remote

PS3 Blu-ray Action Bundle - Price: $664.00 - Winning Price: $229.00
Deal: 80GB PS3, James Bond Collection Six-Pack [Blu-ray], FarCry 2, PS3 Blu-ray Remote

PS3 Blu-ray Family Bundle - Price: $567.00 - Winning Price: $199.00
Deal: 80GB PS3, Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy [Blu-ray], LittleBigPlanet, PS3 Blu-ray Remote
Source

Action Bundle seems to be the best IMO. Not only are the original Bond Movies classic win but you are getting like 10 movies in reality. Not to mention FC2 ain't that bad.
The Family One second because of LBP (never liked Caribbean).

EDIT:
Family Bundle is winning with 52% of the votes.

Quote:
Thank you for your vote. Invitations to the race to buy will be e-mailed to random participants on Thursday, Nov. 27.

Yeah. There are only 500 units for the bundles it says though, so Im sure they'll limit it someway.

This will be quite interesting. I'm wondering if it starts 1 minute after 11:59PM on Thursday. This will be quite interesting, because a lot of people are going to be waiting for stores to open up... but then there's this sweet deal that you can wait all night for...

Its a remote control used during movies. Its cleaner and easier to use then the Dualshock 3 when watching movies imo.

After you vote, it says that invitations will be sent to randomly selected individuals on the given dates. That means they'll only be giving out 500 invites, I'd imagine.
