I glad after reading this thread that no one is just bagging Vista & Windows 7( well as i read it any way ) to be be frank as a windows tech i am having more trouble with XP on most computers i work on then i ever have with Vista. And as far as Windows 7, i run it on my gaming rig and have very little trouble i LOVE Vista & W7 ( it plays Crysis So im happy). as some one has pointed out Vista & W7 are pretty much the Same thing just clean up more and i havent had any driver Probs so far ( well less then i ever had with XP ) Just Move On I Say!!

Well then you can't really say ...I actually have vista, xp AND windows 7 and Windows 7 with all the crap installed as far got the fastest booting time AND response time out of all of them. The response time is great. Haven't tested it for gaming though, cause my Windows 7 is corrupted, I messed it up deleting a file I shouldn't have. It was purely accidental though.

What I find annoying about Vista is that, its constant pestering. Even when you executing its own bloody application it ask do you REALLY want to make open this? Also, it causing chaos in my wireless router. It keeps disconnecting and it annoys me because, everyone starts shouting ***, doesn't the internet work. Did I mention it was slow? Xp runs fine on a PO$ machine. Why can't vista?

I'll wait and see if this is true. Right now there are a few games that I can't even load up on 7. I have tried many fixes but still nothing. I will stick with Vista X64 untill all the bugs are worked out.

That's because PC gamers aren't ten year olds that play a game for about a month before getting bored. Tons of people still play CS1.6, CS:S, Quake 3, UT2k4, etc.

Though this is partly due to our games having much more replay value thanks to custom maps and such.

It's called User Account Control and it takes 15 seconds to disable and like I said, if you have a good machine, it runs faster. If you have a POS machine you either should get a job or you just don't care about performance enough for you to complain in the first place.

I was wishing and hoping this would have been released already, I had to go and buy a copy of Vista 64 bit for my i7 build.

Hopefully I can tweak vista enough to perform like XP or close enough.

I am purely speaking in terms of a consumer POV(point of view).
You fail to understand from a consumer POV mate. Although MS, main target audience are business but, most business computers don't exactly, have a "uber" PC you know. I actually work in a professional business environment and its actually a government department .

Windows 7 requirements are less than Vista's. Most consumers don't have a Quad-core. Most machines are like 1-2ghz computers.

I have a 1 gig laptop with only 1.6 ghz amd dual core. I enjoy vista a lot but it was not meant to be on that laptop.

Doesn't stop me from being angry over a OS released so soon after vista.
