Doesn't matter. It's their responsibility to ensure that no personal information is on there.

i like how he calls them 'sexy' home videos. As in he finds them sexy. However on paper they are just videos of a sexual nature. I'm pretty sure those post-it notes label each machine by pr0n-genre. AKA pile 1 - hardcore. pile 2 - gang bangs. etc..

With todays consoles I can't imagine why anyone wouldnt completely wipe the hard drive before trading/selling. Especially as XBL and PSN holds vital details for purchasing etc. Even if the machine itself is bust. Its not hard to remove what is simply a laptop hard drive and format it.

Well, lets say Xbox A is returned 2 days before the liquidation starts and they get Xbox B. Xbox B is now theirs, end of story on B. A, however, has all his old data on it because he gave up the old drive instead of taking it. his fault there. cirucit Starts liquidation and all the many damaged, returned consoles are sent to a service center, were in transit when sales started. reaches service center, service center packs them as they shut down, unserviced. Consoles get purchased. Consoles are still damaged and were never wiped due to service center closure. this is no ONE particular group's fault. Customers were wrong for not wiping or taking drives. Circuit was wrong for relying on service center to wipe em. Service center was wrong for ignoring them and packing them. And they were DEFINATELY wrong for selling them. The guy should get his money back, too bad it's not possible.

You mean by voiding the warranty by taking out the HDD, installing it in your computer, formatting it, only to take it to BB and refused because seals are broken?

Perhaps this is another good reason on why PC's are better because there is no way around the above predicament.
