The game will apparently be a sequel of sorts to XI, as it'll be the second trip of the series into the land of Massively Multiplayer Online games. There's an all-CG trailer which we'll try to have soon, and no news on gameplay or really anything else. But yes, that just happened: not only did Square-Enix announce a XIV before XIII has come out, but it's an MMO... and they're saying 2010.

Multiplayer will bring ad hoc four player racing as well as the ability to trade cars back and forth with your friends.

We heard from Sony at its E3 press conference that it won't "replace" the PSP-3000 or UMD, it's 50 percent smaller and 40 percent lighter than the original PSP. All future retail titles will have retail and PlayStation store release. Japan can look for it Nov. 1 for ¥26,800.
