Considering the amount of updates and new features games like TF2 and DoDs have got I find this pretty annoying to be honest. I thought L4D would at least get a new campaign or two before a sequel came out, paying £30 for a game with 4 levels is one thing but having to pay for a sequel when the first game doesn't even feel finished is pushing it a bit.

I'm kind of disappointed. I thought they promised metric craploads of free DLC and instead we get a "sequel". As previously pointed out, these games take quite a while to develop. L4D was in development for how long? And they can snap their fingers and crank out a quality sequel? I don't buy it... even if they modify the engine and create new campaigns and throw in a few new weapons and zombie classes. Granted, this is all very preliminary but this doesn't really strike me as anything new or different from what we already have in terms of new mechanics or gameplay at least not enough to be dubbed a full sequel. I can understand the need for both Valve and EA to make a profit from the millions of dollars they poured into the development of L4D... but a year after release? Okay, so you add incendiary rounds. Whoopy do. You would think they could throw us a bone and introduce new modes of play like a "real survivor" mode where you have to forage for everything to stay alive. I like the inclusion of melee weapons... but I expected at least 3 more well designed campaigns before they went back to asking us for another infusion of money. Argh.
