Well i had the chance to beta test Aion, and it was very similar to WoW with better graphics, some updated GUI and air combat. But overall it was so similar i just felt i was playing WoW with a mod or a different theme.
__________________Game did perform very well also, i could max out all graphics and still keep up over 60+ fps with AA. Edit: At crowded towns fps drops to 20-30 on peak hours.

I'm pretty sure he said that just to say it. Beating WoW is like beating the iPod.

It will end up joining the ranks of all other purported "WoW killers" such as Warhammer, AoC, Vanguard and the rest.

Except many people have played through the Chinese beta and the few American betas. I've played over 60 hours so far on the Chinese servers. Since you apparently haven't heard, the Chinese beta can be translated to English so anyone in the U.S. can easily play it.

Just a heads up gents:
__________________All he said was that Aion may offer some meaningful competition to WoW, meaning that they may lose some subscribers to it. In no way does he state that the game is going to be the downfall of WoW or the "WoW-killer".

About time, Blizzard has not had any good competition in a good while.
I thought warhammer was going to be able to compete but they went down pretty fast.

It may certainly be competition for those that are looking to start playing a MMORPG, but I can't see many people leaving WoW for Aion. These types of games often require serious dedication, and sometimes borderline addiction for a character to be successful. Millions have put months and years into developing themselves in an alternate world. I doubt they'd throw away all that work for some graphical updates.
I doubt that online play will be free, so this'll just be another game that I let pass by.
