Psh - I have KILLED several iPods in many worse ways

Anyways - back on topic - whats this game like exactly? Its kinda peaked my interest. I saw the post about how its like WoW but with a mod, but is it like futuristic or is it basically midevil-ish with fantasy stuff like orcs/elves?

Exactly. The reasons that Old Republic could succeed is because:
1. It's based on an existing franchise, with an existing fanbase, not all of whom play WoW.
2. It's Sci-Fi, not fantasy. If your going to make an MMO, make it as different as possible from WoW, to attract gamers who don't like elves and orcs.
3. Ewoks Half-naked Twi'leks.

It's just Lineage + flying around. I think Blizz only mentioned it out of proffesional courtesy. They have always been sort of modest like that every time a new mmo comes out.

I think Republic will do as well as every mmo to come out since WoW combined, which still won't put a dent in WoW. I think there are a lot of people just like me who played SWG when it was good and miss it, love Bioware, and are sick of fantasy mmo's and can't wait to get back in space.
