I think that post, even though it was ridiculously long, summed it up pretty good. They weren't bad movies per se but they definitely weren't good resident evil movies. And the next one won't be any different.

On the other hand, the CG Resident Evil movie that came out was pretty sweet. It was like watching a super long cutscene. The whole time I'm watching it I'm thinking, damn when do I get to play.

And - I LOVE, absolutely LOVE how Wesker was WITH the Umbrella executives in Tokyo underground.
It makes me wonder - did Paul here ever even PLAY the original Resident Evil? Did he ever even beat the game?!

It's like he had this idea for an action zombie movie and said - "I can make a REALLY REALLY quick buck here if I slapped the name of some already well known name on as the title. Oh - Resident Evil here looks pretty nice, and it's sorta popular too! All I have to do is copy and paste some names here and... *slap* done!"

Yes I am glad they did not try to make a movie that followed the events in the RE games myself. Because tthen you'd have a ton of nerds raging about how they didn't make a certain page in a certain folder the right shade of blue.

If the movies were just called Zombie Ass Kicker: Part 1, 2 and 3 I think I'd still enjoy them just as much as I do.

Silent hill is supposedly getting a second one iirc but other then that you're right.

That's a bit exaggerating and even then - its not the same thing as what we're talking about. This is like.... Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Bros movie got 1 thing down pat - the guys were plumbers. Resident Evil movies have 1 thing down pat - zombies. But that's about it, everthing else is irrelevant.
Like I said - they've disregarded every character, every plot, and everything that makes Resident Evil - Resident Evil. Hell even the zombies are a bit lame at certain points (particularly #3 -.-)

Like, can someone PLEASE explain why they were trying to teach the zombie intelligence and building blocks? Like, I almost got up and out of the movie theatres after that scene.
