Gabe Newell specifically states that L4D would be continuously updated just like TF2 with new weapons, maps, and characters. Of course this turned out to be a lie...

Screw this...full retail price...pffft....I payed €23 for L4D so I expect to pay no more than €10 for L4D2. IF I'll ever decide to buy it.

Do you really think EA became this way on one game? No it was a slow progression, that started like this. How's that saying go Those that don't know history are doomed to repeat it, or something like that.

Well, I'm tired of reading through all these irrational arguments, so I'm just going to say this: I have L4D, and I intend to buy L4D2. Support a great company.

I wonder how long it would take for the thread to become like this. We knew they were bringing new content. The real question is when. Summer could mean next year with Valve.

What part of the argument is irrational? Check the link in this thread where Gabe said we will get new weapons, characters and maps. Then show me these add-ons. If you cannot show then to me then the arguments are not irrational. In actuality your response is irrational as you cannot refute the fact of what Gabe stated this is what we would get.

BTW I keep checking L4D and haven't seen a new weapon or character but hey I cold be missing it and would like to be shown I am wrong.

They announced that they are adding these things to L4D, I believe the DLC is called the L4D2 pack and it will be the same cost as when you bought the initial L4D.
