I cant remember exactly what I did, but I was able to hack my psp without using a second hacked psp. I found a tutorial online of how to do it. I lost my PSP though...I wish I knew where it was, I used to play SNES games on it.

With a custom firmware you can FORCE the CPU to normal speeds of 333MHz for games that do not do it automatically. Recent games do this automatically without the need of custom firmware. It's not overclocking because the CPU cannot go over that stock 333MHz clock, at least from my experience of custom firmware.

Who said it stopped at 333mhz?. My friend has his at 400mhz to play Majora's Mask on his PSP (which is awesome).

they will probably never unlock these clocks due to compatibility issues.
if they do, they will make sure no devs can use anything above 333 really so old psps can still be going.
i could see them only unlocking it for dlc, or for game load times.

but... with a cfw.. this is very nice for emus etc
if we ever get cfw on a go
