I'd buy it if it were a backwards compatible PS3. I want to get rid of my ps2.

Just saw it today at work. It's just a PS3 with 2 games thrown the box at the factory and a sticker stuck on it. There's also a Bundle with Wall-E on Blu-Ray and a copy of LBP. Here's a link for the Wall-E and LBP bundle. The KZ2 and MGS4 isnt on the site yet but I know we had like 10 at my store today. Order online and pick up in store ftw.

Im waiting for the ps3 slim which costs $299
MGS4=$30
Killzone 2 = $50
total=$380

and buy fall 09 which is when the price drop/slim rev is expected, both those games will have probably dropped in price

They should bundle this with the PS3 Slim they will definitely sell a lot of consoles.

Indeed. That's one of the downsides of the PS3 having an early designed Blu-Ray drive. I wonder why they can't update it? I know there are BR-Rom 8x drives out there now.
