Default [Escapist] Modder Creates New Xbox 360 Laptop

Quote:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HlNEFq8y4w

It's fair to say that Ben Heckendorn, known better simply as Ben Heck, is a very gifted modder. In fact, it's probably not far from the truth to say that he's a master at taking consoles and making them smaller than they were. This time round, he's revisited his Xbox 360 Laptop and made some improvements, stuffing the console and a monitor into a case about the same size as a laptop, albeit a pretty large one.
There's not a lot to say about this one, as it's all up there in the video. Enjoy!
It looks better ventilated that the original. Pretty loud, but I guess it's needed since smaller fans are used.

Doesn't seem anymore loud then a regular 360. 360s are obnoxiously loud.

Really? I've never heard one in action, and because it's portable, it would need louder, smaller fans to do the same work.

Couldn't you just put a fan directly on the heatsink instead and then you don't need the high power fans to direct air to the heatsink? More fans, but you can then add quieter fans. Although the fan header on the motherboard may have a problem with this.

I was wondering that also, but maybe someone could tell me, is that a regular monitor or a real laptop monitor?

DVD Drive is the loudest on a 360. I in my opinion hate the 360 but eh this would be nice. At least you could paly single player and stuff. Great for lan party's . I honestly don't think that would be to hard to dissasemble the Xbox and put in a smallerish case. The only hadrd part would be molding acrylic and stuff. Alebit wouldn't look as nice, but hey, I could make one. All you need is rudimentary shop skills.
