Saw 1-3 were quite clever (especially Saw 1 and 2) and quite enjoyable.

story wise i thought Saw V takes the cake, the way it summed up the most part of the story, explained a lot of things, but still remained a Saw movie.

its a breath of fresh air in a way, for a movie series to return to pure horror based roots rather than try for the intricate hard to understand and more than likely to fail deep stories assosicated with this type of thing.

its easy, man gets the arse end of the crap stick in life, decides it isnt fair, and decides to hurt people into realising you dont know what you have until its gone. end of story.

add blood, guts, gore and torture in between and you have Saw. and i love it, its the only movie i've seen since i was like...i cant even remember, that honestly made me cringe and even look away for a sec in some parts. thats awesome.

there are plans to make a total of 8 SAW movies first off. It was their original plan when starting the franchise. I personally dont mind the movies. i sat down and watched all 5 right in a row at work one night when i was bored and i will give it to them, the idea behind it is very original.

True they have milked it pretty bad and lets face with Saw 6 coming out this year and the idea that 2 more will some time hit most people just turn their heads. I actually enjoyed watching them becuase in the end everything just sort of...makes sense. Say what you want about the franchise but think about it this way.......most people that said the movies were terrible, will probably end up seeing the next one anyways....so insult it all you want, but they have themselves a great money maker.....
