I believe that's why it's called "confirmed" and not "expected". You probably had those 2 mixed up.

Unless I'm missing something, 4th quarter 09', hardly seems like a release date and with their history, I'm not getting my hopes up. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for GT5 to come out this year, but I'm not hopeful. I've been disappointed several times in the past.

"Q4 2009" isn't a date.

The game obviously still has a ways to go, otherwise they would have given a time frame a little more specific than sometime within a 3 month period.

(For example, Forza 3 comes out on October 27)

They haven't set an actual date because they still aren't sure.
